Multilink is currently seeking a PEM operator for a first shift opening.
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machines to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machines according to production specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Follow safety guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs.
- Assist in material handling and ensure proper loading and unloading of raw materials.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (Technical or vocational training preferred).
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong Communication and teamwork focus
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CNC, automated, or specialized machinery.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with computer-controlled equipment and production software.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, and industrial hazards.
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting for long periods.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
- Safety conscious behavior.
- Excellent attendance.
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 50 lbs frequently.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand and walk for 1 10 hours per day.
- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
Work Site Environment
- Ability to work in a 55 85 degree Fahrenheit work environment.
