Multilink Position: Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector will need a good understanding of the quality environment, quality inspection tools, and processes.
Key Job Responsibilities
•Perform visual inspections of steel/aluminum cabinet pieces and parts with enclosures.
•Inspect purchased products and materials.
•Perform inspections of powder coated parts for finished defects.
•Perform data entry of inspections.
•Use of e-mail and MRP system.
•Ability to read and analyze blueprints.
•Keen eye for material defects or deformations.
•Utilize blueprints to identify the final product has all components.
•Work with Quality and Production teams to problem solve.
•Manage non-conforming products in the warehouse
•Investigate non-conforming, material for disposition.
Education and Experience
•High School Diploma or equivalent may be required.
•Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
•Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
•Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
•Preferred manufacturing experience.
•Preferred quality control experience.
•Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to stand, sit, bend over for 1-10 hours per day.
•Lift products ranging up to 70lbs. (lifting harness available)
•Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
•Move around plant floor for inspections.
•Walk to other departments.
•Possibly driving to other facilities for back-up inspection.
Work Site Environment
•Ability to work in a 55–85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.
