Description
This position is responsible for preparing finished products according to correct length, shape, and orientation according to customer and/or product requirements using hand- and air-powered tools.
This Position is an Entry Level Position!!
Key Job Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints and job routers.
- Must have assembly skills and be willing and able to use all the needed hand tools/air tools needed.
- Must be able to use or be trained to use a Bandsaw, Drill-press, Thermal press, and Sonic welder.
- Can identify and report any material or quality issues.
- Must be able to Learn and identify product and be able to correctly set up jobs and pull correct inventory per job, with assistance of lead and material handlers.
- Test and quality check products prior to packing and shipping, includes use of Visual fault light tester, calipers, and certain air tools.
- Neatly and efficiently be able to package and stack product for shipment to customer, includes use of a utility knife, tape-dispenser gun, and packaging foam.
- Must have good math skills and be able to recognize and report any inventory issues.
- Safely pull and move inventory with a pallet jack.
- Must communicate effectively with Management and well as all team members.
- Promote a safe and friendly work environment and adhere to company policies.
- Must keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent may be required
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Must be able to use hand tools and products such as a heat sealer, tape dispenser, and box cutter.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Understand and support company policies and procedures.
- Safety conscious behavior
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to work with various types of assembly constraints with guidance
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs frequently
- Squat, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours per day
- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time
Work Site Environment
- Must be able to work in a 55–85-degree Fahrenheit work environment
