Biomedical Engineering Technician II

Job Description

The Biomedical Engineering Technician II will be responsible for the following:

• Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on medical equipment and systems
• Assisting in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new medical equipment and systems
• Providing technical support to clinical staff and other departments
• Documenting all work performed in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
• Participating in on-call rotation and responding to emergency service calls as needed
• Assisting in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
• Participating in training and continuing education programs to maintain and enhance technical skills

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and systems, including diagnostic imaging, patient monitoring, and life support equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass background and drug screen.
