TITLE: STEM Coordinator – 6-12
REPORTS TO AND IS EVALUATED BY: Director of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time bargaining unit position – 10-month work year; FLSA Exempt.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: August 2025
LOCATION: District Wide
COMPENSATION: In accordance with PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: Coordinate, develop, and deliver STEM initiatives, providing school-wide support for the STEM program through the development of curricula, training for staff, and fostering STEM skills among student populations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as an Instructional Leader for the 6-12 STEM department.
- Support the goals and initiatives of the appropriate grade levels and the school district.
- Provide leadership for teachers in the department.
- Monitor and assess the curriculum and provide assistance to department teachers as requested by Building Principal and/or Assistant Superintendents.
- Assist with the review, revision, and articulation of the curriculum.
- Prepare and oversee, building and/or district level budget requests.
- Provide professional development for staff.
- Perform other related duties necessary for efficient operation as assigned by Building Principal and/or Assistant Superintendents.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree; Pennsylvania Teacher Certification
