What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer School: Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Paraprofessional position at Multiple Campus Locations?
Primary Purpose:
Assist classroom teacher to provide for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in the general and/or special education setting. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher. This position is to provide Summer School services at all Summer School Locations (Hornsby Elementary and Del Valle High School.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certificate
High School diploma or GED (Recognized by the Texas Education Agency or Regional Accrediting Agency)
Valid Texas Educational Aide certificate
NCLB Certification Required
Crisis Prevention & Intervention certified (CPI), obtain within the first 90 days
Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50) paid by employee.
Location: Hornsby Elementary and Del Valle High School
Dates:
Workday May 27th 8:00-3:30) & June 19th (3hrs)
May 28 - 30th (Wednesday - Friday)
June 2 - 5th (Monday - Thursday)
June 9 - 12th (Monday - Thursday)
June 16 - 19th (Monday - Thursday)
Work Hours:
Elementary: 8:00 – 1:00 pm
Secondary: 8:30 - 1:30 pm
Note: Compensation will only apply to workdays outside of your 2024-2025 school year contract
Will pay for travel between campuses
