The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) positions that may become available within our division for the 2025-206 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide behavior analytic services to support special education staff, student services staff, general education teachers and administrators in the provision of behavioral supports and services to assist students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
- Expertise in the field and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disabilities and other challenging behaviors
EDUCATION:
- Master’s degree or higher
EXPERIENCE:
- Currently employed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Minimum of five years of experience related to the subject area
- Experience working with students in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disorder
- Experience utilizing technology in an instructional environment
- Functional knowledge of commonly used office equipment and work-flow technologies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain an unquestionable degree of confidentiality
- Ability to multi-task, work with interruptions, and work under pressure
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous employment as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Ability to organize data from multiple schools and teachers
- Experience and expertise in using technology in education
- Experience or have working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and course work
- Effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Strong professional, interpersonal, and communication skills for working effectively with school personnel and members of the community
- Experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment
Salary: $53,050.82 - $95,567.02 per year including benefits, depending on experience (salary may change due to 2025-2026 budget considerations)
