What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gifted Evaluator 49% - 2025/2026 position at Multiple Locations?
Overall Purpose
To evaluate students for the gifted program, collaborating with gifted chairs to implement school-level gifted programs, and work with educators and parents to support gifted learners' academic and intellectual growth.
Essential Functions

Administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized assessments to identify students who are referred for gifted evaluation.

Review all assessments and relevant data to form a comprehensive picture of student abilities to make recommendations for evaluation and placement.

Collaborate with gifted chairs, teachers, and parents to review testing data and provide feedback pertaining to individual student testing documentation.

Implement and review gifted program policies and procedures with school-level gifted chairs.

Provide ongoing support and guidance to teachers and parents regarding gifted education practices.

Advocate for the needs of gifted learners within the school and district.

Monitor student progress and program effectiveness through data collection and analysis.

Identify trends and patterns in student data to develop program improvements.

Work collaboratively with gifted chairs, teachers, administrators, counselors, and parents to ensure effective support for gifted students.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's gifted status and educational needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Requirements
Valid Georgia professional certification in the assigned teaching field.
Must hold a Gifted certification.
Experience working with gifted students
Knowledge of gifted education theories, research, and best practices.
Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing.
Education/Training
Maintains all licenses and certifications.
