Job purpose

The World Missions Ministry Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and planning assistance of mission and community involvement for the members of Multiply Church.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating a consistent office of World Missions and Community Outreach.
• Assist in coordinating an effective and celebratory annual “trip reveal” for Multiply Church Concord.
• Assist in coordination of World Missions and Community Outreach efforts of the various organizations.
  • Includes taking up to 10 or more trips per year.
  • Facilitate short-term mission trips.
  • Assist in giving general administrative leadership to all mission trips.
• Coordinate active communication, oversight, support for and pastoral care for church supported missionaries.
• Maintain an active vetting system for all Missionary support requests.
• Maintain a monthly update of Missionaries on Basecamp to be used for 5 Spot opportunities.
• Coordinate special education and training projects within context for various age groups within the congregation and SEU Concord.
• Maintain an adequate system of records.
• Alignment of all activities with Finding Life, Finding Freedom, Finding Family and Finding Purpose.
• Requesting World Missions and Community Outreach promotions through webpage and other church-wide communication outlets with current needs, upcoming service opportunities and stories.
• Coordinate Water Baptism, Wide Awake Fully Alive responses and followup, and Prayer/Altar Ministries
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the World Missions and Community Outreach Pastor.  

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• A passionate love for the Lord, people, and a desire to serve in the local church and community.
• Experience in managing volunteers.
• Exhibit excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to approach others in a personable way.
• Organizational skills in a variety of types of programs.
• Able to manage a flexible work schedule.
• Ability and willingness to work effectively in partnership with World Missions and Community Outreach  team.
• Theological and philosophical alignment with Multiply Church’s vision.
• In step with the future direction of Multiply Church Global with regard to mission, vision, and strategy.
• Must display a strong work ethic along with a healthy work/life balance.

Working conditions

Position requires 29 hours per week.  Nights, Sundays, and weekends are to be expected seasonally.
