We are looking for a hands-on, people-first Refurb Department Lead who brings more than just technical skill to the table—you bring leadership, problem-solving and a strategic mindset. In this role, you will support the Refurb Manager by helping to drive production goals, coach and guide team members and ensure workflow is smooth, efficient and aligned with our quality standards. You’ll be instrumental in building a high-performing team and creating a safe, organized and results-driven work environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Production Oversight
- Monitor daily workflow and optimize productivity across assembly stations.
- Ensure work aligns with production schedules, customer orders and quality expectations.
- Assist with resolving assembly issues by analyzing prints, adjusting specs and coordinating solutions.
- Oversee and maintain inventory levels for production needs.
- Guide, train and mentor team members across various roles.
- Provide feedback on interviews, onboarding and training for new hires.
- Assist with performance evaluations, coaching and conflict resolution.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful and accountable team culture.
- Interpret blueprints and part lists to guide electromechanical assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to fit, file and assemble components.
- Operate small cranes, forklifts and other equipment to move large components.
- Conduct inspections, testing and final adjustments to ensure finished units meet quality standards.
- Disassemble and prepare units for shipment or repair.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to boost efficiency.
- Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and cleanliness standards.
- Support team and company-wide initiatives to improve workflow and reduce downtime.
- 3–4 years of experience in assembly, refurb, or related technical operations—preferably with generators or similar equipment.
- Proven leadership and communication skills in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Experience with inventory systems, interpreting prints/specs and operating industrial equipment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while supporting a team.
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
- This role requires working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and crouching throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Extended periods of standing (8-10 hours per shift).
- Frequent use of hands for handling, fingering, reaching and grasping objects.
- Work performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with potential exposure to extreme heat or cold.
- Possible exposure to chemicals, including hydraulic fluid, gas and diesel fuel.
