As the Correspondent Banking Relationship Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our correspondent banking network. You will ensure regulatory compliance, enhance operational efficiency, and drive strategic partnerships in the international payments landscape.
Your Role
- Build and maintain relationships with local clearing systems, correspondent banks, financial institutions, and payment service providers.
- Ensure compliance with SWIFT protocols, AML/KYC regulations, and all correspondent banking regulatory requirements.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the correspondent banking space.
- Serve as the primary liaison for correspondent banks and payment service providers, ensuring seamless communication.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to correspondent banking activities and payment services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate correspondent banking with other business lines.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for payment operations.
- Maintain a pipeline of potential banking relationships and report on correspondent banking activities to senior management.
What We Are Looking For
- At least five years of experience in correspondent banking, payment services, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of international payment systems and correspondent banking operations.
- Familiarity with AML/KYC compliance and other regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of banking back-office operations and day-to-day procedures.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
