We are now looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Crime Compliance Analyst in Malta to contribute to strengthening the Bank’s AML/CFT framework.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head of AML/MLRO and line managers in overseeing all aspects of the Bank’s AML/CFT activities.
- Providing second-line support in reviewing customer onboarding CDD for natural persons and corporate entities.
- Ongoing monitoring activities, including reviewing alerts generated by the Bank’s Transaction Monitoring and Screening systems
- Handling AML-related escalations from the Bank’s first-line teams, including KYC periodic reviews and other AML procedures.
- Processing of requests for information and other orders received from the competent authorities.
- Initiating investigations, completion of internal and external STR/SARs, and supporting all necessary follow-up action.
- Support the reviewing and testing of the relevant Bank functions and processes in line with the Anti-Financial Crime Plan, including performing quality control activities.
- Support with the identification of feasible solutions for the Bank’s Business requirements, including testing of third-party identity verification systems to ensure compliance with AML requirements.
Background:
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in Financial Crime and AML
- Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs
- Quality oriented and detailed-focused
- Clear communicator and knows how to get things done
- Can articulate, analyze, and solve problems
- Has a very high standard of written and spoken business English
