The Role: Lasers Scanning Technician:
Multivista is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Laser Scanning Technician to join our dynamic NYC-area team. This is a boots-on-the-ground role where you’ll be navigating active construction sites and capturing high-precision 3D data using industry-leading Leica Geosystems laser scanning technology.
You’ll play a vital role in helping clients visualize and validate their projects—from raw site scans to fully registered datasets that guide design, construction, and facility management decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of digital construction and reality capture in some of the most iconic projects and places in New York.
What You'll Do:
- Operate Leica laser scanners and registration software to capture accurate 3D spatial data
- Navigate and document active construction sites with professionalism and safety awareness
- Perform scan registrations, quality control checks, and post-processing of scan data
- Coordinate with clients, PMs, and internal operations teams to ensure successful data delivery
- Provide technical insight and support to help stakeholders make informed decisions
- Troubleshoot and resolve scanning challenges in the field and during post-processing
What You Bring:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the NYC metro area
- Experience using Leica Geosystems laser scanning hardware and software (a plus)
- Familiarity with scan registration workflows and post-processing platforms like Cyclone (a plus)
- Good understanding of construction environments, site logistics, and safety practices
- Ability to clearly communicate with construction professionals and internal teams
- Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
- Bonus: Experience in construction, engineering, or reality capture technologies
