The Club Director of Human Resources at the MAC will play a critical role in shaping and executing the people strategy in alignment with the club’s mission, vision, and values.
The Role
As a strategic partner to the General Manager, Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and Committees, you will guide the organization’s human capital initiatives to drive optimal employee productivity, engagement, and organizational success. In this leadership role, you will foster a high-performance culture, ensure effective talent management, and provide insights that contribute to the long-term growth of the organization.
What You'll Do
Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with leadership teams to align human resources strategies with the overall MAC strategic plan, focusing on organizational effectiveness, talent development, and employee engagement.
Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and Committees on human capital issues, offering insights and guidance on key initiatives.
Culture & Talent Management: Coach and support managers to foster a positive, compassionate, and results-oriented culture, while promoting MAC’s core values in all organizational processes.
HR Metrics & Analytics: Develop and maintain an HR metrics dashboard to monitor key performance indicators, such as employee engagement, retention, productivity, and attrition, to inform decision-making.
Leadership Development: Create and implement leadership development programs, succession planning, and mentoring opportunities to strengthen the talent bench and support future organizational growth.
Diversity & Inclusion: Drive initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization, creating an environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
HR Service Excellence: Establish and oversee a best-in-class HR service delivery model, focusing on strategic solutions that go beyond administration.
Safety & Compliance: Lead the Safety Committee and ensure the club’s safety policies and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). A minimum of 5 years of HR leadership experience, including strategic, culture, and talent management, and organizational development.
Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals, driving effective employee communications and fostering a high-performance culture.
Legal Expertise: Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment law and regulatory compliance.
HR Technology Expertise: Experience in implementing and utilizing HR technology (HRIS systems) to streamline HR processes and analytics.
Certifications: SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred, demonstrating a high level of expertise in human resources.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, managers, and employees across the organization.
Other Requirements
Ability to work on-site full-time. Weekend and evening availability may be required as needed.
Occasional travel to other locations for meetings and events.
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods (e.g., sitting at a desk or in meetings).
Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and printers.
Occasional light physical activity, such as walking around the club or handling presentation materials.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
Visual and auditory acuity to effectively engage in meetings and use computer systems.
