The RoleJoin our dynamic team as a Court Sports Summer Camp Attendant and play an essential role in providing high-quality assistance and instruction across various camps within our Court Sports Department. In this role, you’ll be working directly with members in the Athletic Gyms, Batting Cage, FitZone, and beyond to help create a safe, welcoming, and fun experience for kids and adults. Instruct and Assist: Lead and assist with various sports camps including soccer, basketball, baseball, and fitness. Help with setting up equipment, running activities, and ensuring a smooth experience for participants.
Member Support: Provide in-person assistance to members, answer questions, and offer customer service on all Court Sports programs.
Administrative Support: Assist with registrations, cancellations, and general administrative duties as assigned, including using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting and communication.
Maintain Court Sports Areas: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the gym areas. Report any equipment repair or safety concerns to the Court Sports Supervisor.
Be a Safety Monitor: Demonstrate safe work practices, identify potential hazards, and address any safety concerns within the gym and sports areas.
Be a Resource: Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for members regarding sports programming, and direct them to appropriate resources when necessary.
Be Role Adaptable: Step in and substitute for other roles, including Junior Sports Instructor and FitZone Attendant, as needed.
What You'll Bring
Experience & Skills: Previous experience in an athletic or youth instruction setting is preferred, with a strong ability to engage and communicate with kids and adults.
Certifications: Current CPR AED/First Aid and SafeSport certifications are required or must be obtained within the first three months of employment.
Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service, maintaining a positive, welcoming attitude in all interactions.
Safety Awareness: You prioritize safety in decision-making and are comfortable maintaining safe environments for participants and staff.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with members, guests, and team members effectively.
Physical Requirements: Ability to engage in physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs.
Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on camp schedules and events.
