Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Effective oral and written communication. Must be able to document accurately. Must be organized. Ability to move about with reasonable accommodation, reach, turn, twist, touch, bend, kneel, push, pull, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move objects short distances.
Work is performed in an indoor, well-lighted, well-ventilated, climate controlled environment as well as an outdoor environment where weather may be inclement. Irregular hours are required.
Job Summary
This is a seasonal part-time position working under the supervision of the MRC Sports Director. The concession stand coordinator will be responsible for monitoring concession stand employees, preparing all items necessary to open on time for the sporting event at hand. Hours and days will vary per season. Summer Sports working hours are Monday through Friday 5:00pm-9:30pm with occasional weekends. Spring Sports working hours are Saturday’s, 8:00am-3:00pm. All working hours and days will vary.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess experience in managing and supervising staff
- Experience working with food and safety laws preferred but not required
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
Job Duties:
- Oversee and assist with concession stand daily operations and services
- Ensure concession stand personnel keeps product fresh, stocked, and the concession stand is cleaned.
- Monitor personnel to make routine checks with concession stand area and restrooms to ensure facilities are clean.
- Develop Concession Stand Menu items during applicable sport seasons and report menu to Sports Director.
- Assist Sports Director with hiring concession stand personnel ensuring MRC policies and procedures and food safety laws are followed.
- Implement concession stand on the job training for all personnel with Sports Director.
- Report any maintenance issues with concession stand appliances to Sports Director.
- Monitor and report supplies needed for all Concession Stand Inventory
- Coordinate all concession stand supply orders with Sport Director. Concession Manager will be responsible for restocking supply orders at concession stand. *picking up any supplies needed from Sams Club
- Must be able to operate and train concession stand personnel on operating the use of a propane grill.
- Responsible for delivering money bag to the MRC Sports Director the following day after an event.
