Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Local Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with route driving, heavy lifting, and operating box trucks, and stepvans. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle for local deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and care of materials.
- Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with moving items as needed, including heavy lifting when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with route driving and navigating local areas efficiently.
- Must be able to multi-task, and have great organizational skills
- Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 150 pounds) and manual handling tasks.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must be able to pass background check, and drug test, (Marijuana is a drug)
- Must be able to obtain DoT medical examiners card.
- 21yrs old and older, with a valid driver license.
- No felonies with in the last 10 years.
