What You'll Do :
As a Cost Analyst, you will be evaluating product designs and making recommendations that improve production and cost efficiencies. Your primary role will be to develop internal cost estimates used in the development process. In addition, you will review factory quotes and provide sourcing input in selecting the appropriate vendors.
How you will contribute :
- Analyze product cost breakdowns for utilization of cost of material, material usage, and labor rates to meet cost objectives
- Review and negotiate vendor quotes
- Maintain awareness of the material and labor cost trends. Responsible for upkeeping the core commodity cost for reference
- Guides the Marketing and Design teams on margin attainment / expectations
- Manages the cost budget of the assignment projects. Manage all sourcing and costing essentials to stay with the planned budget
- Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during the quoting phase / process
- Interprets data quickly and evaluates potential issues to the appropriate level of review
- Mentor and develop staff to facilitate effective performance across all phases of the sourcing and costing processes

Salary range : $70,000- $90,000 DOE
