Position: Front Desk Security Coordinator Reports to: Men’s Program Director
Part Time Hourly Position
The Front Desk Coordinator the first point of contact for all Mission guests checking into our facility or inquiring about our programs. To be successful at the front desk, you should have a pleasant personality. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner. The ability to handle multiple tasks is essential to this role. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Greet and welcome all guests/clients to the Mission.
· Provide customer service to guests/client’s by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
· Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
· Process paperwork for residential guests.
· Maintain logbooks and records.
· Monitor and enforce security of Mission campus facilities.
· Conduct regular and random patrols around building and perimeter.
· Encourage necessary structure to maintain a therapeutic atmosphere for guests in addictions recovery and emergency shelter from homelessness.
· Perform duties of a PT Case Manager as needed.
· Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
· Ensure reception area is always tidy and presentable.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

· Have a desire to serve the Lord through widely varied responsibilities to advance ministry to those who are currently homeless with a compassionate heart.
· Proven work experience as a front office representative or similar role.
· Professional attitude and appearance.
· Must be hospitable and respectful to all Mission guests/clients.
· Must be flexible when dealing with changing circumstances and multiple personalities in a residential setting.
- Must be a decisive, dependable, one who exhibits good judgment, sensitivity, and compassion.
- Strong oral, written communication skills and organizational skills. Must be a team player.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High school degree; Bachelor’s Degree desirable
- 1-3 years’ experience in a therapeutic residential setting, with a desire to work in human services
- Must be able to work independently
