The Opportunity
This position will support the general ledger functions and those responsibilities associated with balancing, analysis, reporting, and review, through oversight, coordination with other departments, and decision-making. This position’s focus will entail maintaining the integrity of key financial statement data as well as bringing greater efficiency to the process by analyzing general ledger accounts and related data, as well as utilizing the general ledger reconciliation process to develop financial analysis under all three accounting bases (IFRS, US GAAP, STAT). Key aspects of this position’s responsibilities include :
- Ensuring the SAP Global Template general ledger process’ data is accurate and meets all related deliverables.
- Overseeing, analyzing, and auditing the general ledger reconciliation process including fully understanding out-of-balance conditions.
- Evaluating current processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Documenting and communicating processes / best practices to departments across the organization.
- Ensuring the team delivers quality support to our internal customers.
