Munich Re America Services, Inc. seeks a Solution Architect Sr. for its Princeton, New Jersey location.
Duties : Drive high-priority customer initiatives on the Microsoft Azure Platform in collaboration with customers. Responsible for architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects, and / or Minimal Viable Products (MVPs) within Data Platform and Advanced Analytics technical customer engagements for North American Business Units. Analyze the overall data landscape, IT and business priorities, and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions. Use in-depth technical knowledge of computer systems architecture to architect solutions that meet business and IT needs. Create and modernize Data Platform, Data Analytics, and Al roadmaps, and ensure long-term technical viability of new deployments. Architect Azure DevOps pipelines to drive all docker container builds out to the Container registry and then deploy to Azure Kubernetes / Azure WebApps for containers. Ensure that the solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment. Develop deep relationships with key customer stakeholders and IT decision-makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within Munich Re. Manage the product life cycle, including design, implementation, and deployment, for technologies within the BDAP platform. Develop prototypes using various cloud and data technologies like Databricks, ADF, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, etc. Design and deploy dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on the Azure Cloud. Select appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements and design and deploy enterprise-wide scalable operations on Cloud Platforms. Design, code, test, correct, and document complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications & and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result for cloud-based applications. Program applications and application components, customize and configure systems and applications with best practices, following industry standard framework and using software design patterns by utilizing programming languages like C#, JavaScript, Database, etc. Build a document search system using Azure Cloud deployed on docker containers.
Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field plus 5 years work experience in a progressive role as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Software Engineer, Technical Architect, or closely related position. Alternatively, will accept Master's in the stated fields plus 3 years of stated work experience. Candidate's prior experience must include : Design, development, and implementation of sophisticated business technology software; Building customer-facing applications; Collaborating with agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions; Managing projects from design through delivery; Using structured architectural analysis capabilities to estimate the financial impact of architectural alternatives; Building CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning; and using : Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, Microsoft Power Platforms, Azure Data Services, Serverless computing and containerization, PaaS and SaaS, Web API, Azure DevOps, Agile development, and Web Services, .NET, SQL Server, DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS), PowerShell, JavaScript, React JS, MVC, C#, HTML, Visual Studio, ADO.NET, PL-SQL, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, VS Code, Microsoft Azure SQL Database, SQL programming, and Data platforms. May telecommute but must have ability to report to Princeton, NJ office two (2) times per week.
