About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our team at Municipal Apparel in Oceanside, CA. As a Barber, you will be responsible for providing exceptional haircuts and grooming services to our clientele within our dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional haircuts, shaves, and other grooming services to clients, adhering to the highest standards of quality and sanitation.
• Consult with clients to understand their desired style and preferences, offering expert advice and recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized and sterilized.
• Maintain and grow a loyal clientele through exceptional customer service and relationship building.
• Promote barbering services and special offers to customers within the retail store.
• Actively engage with customers and contribute to the positive and welcoming atmosphere of Municipal Apparel.
• Utilize and grow your social media presence to showcase your work and attract new clients to your booth within Municipal Apparel.
• Adhere to all California state barbering regulations and maintain a valid barbering license.

Requirements

• Local to Oceanside, CA (Preferred): Familiarity with the local community and clientele is highly desired.
• Valid California Barber License: Must possess a current and unrestricted California Barber License.
• Barbering Insurance: Must carry and maintain your own professional liability insurance.
• Established Social Media Following: A demonstrated social media presence showcasing your work and engaging with potential clients.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients and provide a personalized and enjoyable experience.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients regarding their desired services.
• Proficiency in Various Cutting Techniques: Expertise in a range of haircutting and styling methods for diverse hair types.
• Clean and Organized Work Habits: Maintaining a sanitary and professional workspace is essential.
• Positive Attitude and Team Player: Contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
