Position Summary
Direct, manage, oversee and supervise a wide range of programs and activities within the Department of Municipal Development which may include Facilities Maintenance, Energy Management, Parking and Security, including policy, personnel, program, budget and administration within assigned areas; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, department, outside agencies and other stake-holders and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Municipal Development.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management or Civil Engineering; and
Nine (9) years of managerial experience in any combination of the following areas: municipal development or public works, public sector operations management, capital project management, or contract compliance; and
To include six (6) years of supervisory experience.
Master's degree in any of the above fields preferred. Juris Doctorate preferred.
Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. If applicant has out of state license, State of New Mexico license should be acquired within one (1) year from date of hire.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.

- Analyze and assess programs, policies and operational needs and make appropriate adjustments

- Prepare and administer large and complex budgets
- Prepare administrative and financial reports
- Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions; project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals
