Position Overview
The Client Billing Coordinator is a position in the Accounting Department that is responsible for billing clients accurately and timely as defined by the client contract and MDS standard operating procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Generate billing statements for assigned districts prior to District Meetings
- Assemble service orders for review, verification, and approval by Contract Manager
- Submit all invoices and coordinate payments with Bookkeeper. Use good communication skills to resolve any discrepancies
- Process incoming vendor invoices and other department correspondence on a daily basis
- Re-verify, prep, reconcile and ensure all invoices and service orders are in accordance with District contract
- Code invoices for Accounts Payable for proper tracking
- Ensure effective data management through use of various excel spreadsheets and documents to provide necessary data for the assigned monthly Operations Reports to ensure reports, bulletins, and alerts are completed and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
- Special projects as requested
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School or GED
- A minimum 2 years of relevant, professional work experience including basic knowledge of bookkeeping
- Proficient use of computers including Microsoft Office applications-working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail and time management to deliver high quality work while meeting strict deadlines
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work tasks
- Able to work without supervision, but know when to consult with supervisory personnel for assistance in determining appropriate actions
- Adjutant knowledge preferred
Work Environment:
- Physical Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment utilizing modern office equipment and technology and may require sitting for prolonged periods of time using a computer. The incumbent stands, walks, and may twist, reach, bend, crouch and kneel. An incumbent must be able to meet the requirements of the classification and have mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed.
