Job Overview:
This position has been developed as a support to each Title I School in order to meet the needs of at-risk students and to assist with required paperwork of Title I documentation. The Title I School Coordinator will work directly under the school principal, facilitating Title I special programs, parent engagement, instructional coaching, and behavior and academic interventions. In addition, the coordinator will work with the principal in completing all Title I reports and improvement plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the school principal, assists in preparation of all required data, needs assessments, reports, school Title I plans, and all other Title I documents.
- Possess excellent communication skills to work closely with students, parents, and teachers.
- Must have the ability to problem solve and work collaboratively with teams.
- Plans and conducts school-based parent engagement activities
- Maintains time and effort certification documentation for Title I staff
- Attends required meetings and staff development
- Supports school preschool program and other school programs
- Assists with training of teachers and Title I paraprofessionals
- Models instructional strategies and behavior interventions for classroom teachers and paras.
- Coordinates with building principal, teachers, counselors Student Services, and Special Education in the development, implementation, and monitoring of a variety of behavior and academic intervention strategies in the regular classroom.
- Attendance is critical for this position.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in an elementary school.
- Must have an active Level 2 or 3 Utah Elementary Teaching License.
