What are the responsibilities and job description for the EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN I - RANGE 15 / IBE - TECH position at Municipality of Anchorage?

This position is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1547 (Technicians) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1547 (Technicians).
DEPARTMENT: Public Transportation
HOURS OF WORK: Shifts vary; Schedule based on seniority: 40 hours per week within Monday - Sunday.
LOCATION: 3701 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr AvenuePerform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections, lubrication, servicing and minor repairs on Public Transportation Department buses and other staff vehicles and equipment within prescribed intervals. Create work orders in maintenance management system for all tasks and accurately enters time, parts, and materials used for each service. Apply strong attention to detail to ensure each vehicle is serviced thoroughly. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and others to promote a safe, clean, and harmonious work environment. Clean and maintain shop work areas. Must maintain regular time and attendance standards. Perform other duties assigned.High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and completion of an approved journeyman mechanic apprenticeship program.
OR
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and one (1) year of automotive, construction equipment, transit bus, and truck maintenance and repair experience.

At time of hire, a valid State of Alaska Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction. Applicants with a Restriction of "N-No Class A and B Passenger Vehicle" and Restriction of "L-Vehicles Without Air Brake Systems Only" are not eligible.
OR
Valid State of Alaska Driver’s License & State of Alaska Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) at time of hire and within 120 days of hire must obtain the required CDL and required endorsements along with no restrictions.
Preferences:

If selected for hire, appointment in this position will be conditional based upon the submission of a current copy of the applicant's State of Alaska Driver's License Also, required is the submission of a current copy (dated within 30 days from date requested) of his/her Department of Motor Vehicle driving record, including a driving record from previous states if the Alaska driver's license was first issued within one year prior to application, documenting an acceptable driving history.
