DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation
HOURS OF WORK: Monday thru Sunday; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

LOCATION: 12001 Business Blvd Ste. 123, Eagle River, AK
Park Maintenance This position will maintain parks, outdoor recreational facilities, trails, and municipal owned grounds. Assist with various events. Winter duties may include, but not limited to maintaining ice rinks, ski trails, parks equipment and removing snow from trails, parking lots and roadways. Summer duties may include, but not limited to collection of litter, cleaning of outdoor restrooms, mowing turf, clearing and repairing bike trails, repairing playground equipment, vandalized parks, and maintain sports fields. Requires knowledge of light equipment and small tool operation. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Six (6) months experience in lawn, landscape, trails, construction, grounds, or facility maintenance.
Must possess a valid State of Alaska driver's license at the time of hire.
Preferences:
- Experience as a Parks Caretaker I with the Municipality of Anchorage.
- Experience in operating various types of maintenance equipment and tools.
