This position is represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers - Local 302 and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the International Union of Operating Engineers - Local 302. DEPARTMENT: Solid Waste ServicesHOURS OF WORK: Shifts Vary: 4/10's Shift; Monday thru SaturdayLOCATION: Various Locations: 15500 E Eagle River Loop RdThis is a Seasonal Full-Time position and will last approximately six (6) months after the date of hire.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Operate heavy equipment at the Central Transfer Station and the Anchorage Regional Landfill such as, but not limited to, loaders, dozers, articulating dump trucks, landfill compactors, graders, solid waste cranes, water trucks, leachate tractor/trailers and transfer tractor/trailers. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.Applicant must be able to lift/carry up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and work in inclement weather.

Preference will be given to returning Seasonal Employees who are eligible for Recall.
