HOURS: Monday-Friday 8am-3pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years old. Current certification in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED (training may be available). Strong swimming ability and knowledge of water safety protocols. Experience working with children in a camp, teaching, or similar environment preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
GENERAL DEFINTION: The Norristown Department of Recreation is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to serve as Lifeguard/Camp Counselors for our summer recreation programs. This dual-role position combines ensuring the safety of pool participants with facilitating engaging activities for campers. Ideal candidates will possess strong swimming skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for working with children and the community.
