Lawncare Technician-Irrigation

SUMMARY OF POSITION

A Technician is a customer-interfacing job that requires expertise to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Many other positions at Munie will require a technician skill set.

As a Technician I, you will be responsible for meeting an exceptional standard of professionalism and along with delivering excellent results that require sound fundamental skills, knowledge, and competency. In one mor more key areas in our organization. The key areas include Lawn, Tree and Shrub, Irrigation, Landscape Install, Sports Turf, Veg Management, Logistics, Mechanic, and Precision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Possess a basic skill set and understanding of the specialization
• Proficiently and efficiently perform duties in accordance to established procedures
• Ensure work is being performed in adherence to safety policies and procedures, always placing safety as the number one priority.
• Demonstrates commitment as a Munie team member.
• Perform core elements of the job meeting quality standards.
• Efficiently operates mechanical equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Performs regular preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Participates in ongoing training programs.
• Maintains a high degree of personal efficiency and uncompromising quality workmanship.
• Acts as a good steward of company equipment and tools.
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism in appearance, actions, and conversation.
• Maintains continuous attention to safety; reports and/or corrects potential hazards.
• Consistently exceeds customer expectations.
• Utilize lean principles ensuring high productivity with minimal waste.
• Actively participates in regular safety meetings.
• Maintains a high degree of commitment.
• Daily preparation of trucks, equipment, and inventory
• Load all tools, gas, and other necessary equipment/materials. Secure all equipment safely
• Ensures equipment operates at peak performance
• Complete requested services in a timely manner in order to achieve 100% customer satisfaction
• Maintain a professional image through attention to vehicle and equipment maintenance and cleanliness as well as a personal, professional appearance
• Respond to customer service requests, correcting problems and providing solutions and/or expert advice; Follow up to ensure optimal results were obtained and customer satisfaction
• Work in a timely manner to ensure customer needs are fulfilled and deadlines are met.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing technical publications, and or establishing personal networks
• Display a thorough understanding of a specialized field
• Maintain safe and clean working environment
• Exhibit teamwork in all activities, maintaining a positive and team based attitude
• Participates in ongoing training programs and regular safety meetings
• Identify issues and opportunities to supervisors attention
• Acquire and maintain necessary licenses

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK CONDITIONS

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work in close contact with power equipment and noise associated with such equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit unassisted for up to 12 hours per day
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work 50-65 hours per week through peak season
• Ability to work up to 6 days per week

KNOWLEDGEE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Must acquire state or industry specific license or certifications
• Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR
• Must be able to read and write in English
• MGP Equipment and Technical Certification

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
