What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associate position at Munot Plastics?
Munot Plastics is rapidly growing and looking to fill the role of Shipping and Receiving Forklift Driver. "Shipping and Receiving Forklift Driver" is responsible for operating a forklift to efficiently load and unload incoming shipments, move inventory within warehouses, and prepare outgoing orders for delivery, while meticulously verifying product quantities to maintain accurate inventory records. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and proper forklift operation procedures.
Shipping:
The appropriate person will prepare orders for shipment (strapping, wrapping and confirming quantities), manage and complete all paperwork as needed, ensure accuracy of the order to ship.
Receiving:
Unloading incoming trucks using a forklift, verifying product quantities and condition against delivery documents. Inspecting received goods for damage and reporting any discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
Maintaining accurate inventory levels by performing cycle counts and reporting discrepancies. Rotating stock to ensure proper product rotation. Identifying and reporting any damaged or expired products.
Forklift Operation:
Operating forklift safely and efficiently, following all company and OSHA safety guidelines. Performing daily forklift inspections and reporting any maintenance issues. Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Duties include but are not limited to, receiving in, storing and distributing all deliveries, as well as work with the production floor for BOM (Bill of Materials) needed on a daily and ongoing basis.
The hire will be responsible for organization of the warehouses and documentation.
Safety, organizational and housekeeping responsibilities are encompassed in the position. The employee must follow all SQF (Safe Quality Food) rules and procedures pertaining to this job as outlined upon hire
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory or above level. The requirements listed below are a representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years experience in shipping/receiving duties
- Operate a forklift with all safety standards
- Attention to detail is imperative
- Reliable
- Well organized
- Multi-Task
- Self driven
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Read and Write
- Basic math skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all employees and visitors to maintain a positive working relationship across the organization
