Job Title: Senior Cost Estimator Consultant (Automotive Components)

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On-site)

As a Senior Cost Estimator Consultant at Munro and Associates, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide industry-leading solutions in the automotive sector. We are seeking an individual with 20 years of experience in cost estimation, with a strong focus on automotive stampings, castings, interior and exterior plastics, electronics/infotainment systems, and tooling. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a consulting role within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your extensive expertise to consult on cost estimation for automotive components.
  • Specialize in stampings, castings, interior and exterior plastics, electronics/infotainment systems, and tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate cost estimates and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to optimize cost efficiencies and offer consultancy on process improvements.
  • Conduct thorough market research to stay updated on industry trends and provide clients with actionable insights.
  • Present cost estimation findings and consulting recommendations to clients and internal teams.

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:
  • 20 years of experience in cost estimation, specifically in automotive components.
  • Strong expertise in stampings, castings, interior and exterior plastics, electronics/infotainment systems, and tooling.
  • Direct consulting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet client requirements. This may include local and domestic travel. 
  • To work on our government contracts, you must be a US citizen and be able to pass a background check.
