Detailed Description :
Mural's Director of Drug Substance External Manufacturing, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) plays a critical role in enhancing the company's supply chain efficiency and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with key suppliers. The SRM negotiates contracts, ensures supplier compliance, and monitors performance to meet operational needs and strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities :
Support the continued development and implementation of the External Manufacturing operating model and business processes across the external network for Mural.Act as the manufacturing & business relationship manager for designated Suppliers, developing mutually beneficial relationships and ensuring high quality, reliable, and efficient supply.
Directly responsible for batch execution, testing, and release.Manage KPIs, scorecards, and provide oversight for the external network.Lead Business Review Meetings with key Suppliers to manage performance and the business relationship.Identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives & performance measures within the external network.Implement and maintain Risk Assessment and Risk Management tools to evaluate Supplier risk profiles and establish remediation strategies.Monitor Supplier contracts for compliance with contractual terms.Work with internal process development group to tech transfer new processes into CMOs for GMP manufacture.Own, lead, and manage the contracting process for assigned Development and Commercial activities with external Suppliers (CMOs, vendors, etc.).Partner with Legal, Finance, Process Development, Quality, External Operations, and other SME functions to deliver contracts aligned with business goals.
Support the development & implementation of sustainable & scalable management systems within the contracting space.Support the preparation and management of the External Operations & Supply Chain budget.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery of mutual goals.Ensure personnel assigned to your area of responsibility are appropriately trained commensurate with their roles & responsibilities.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related area is required, and 8 years relevant work experienceExperience in life sciences or related industry preferred.
Minimum 4 years of contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management experience.Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and depth of knowledge of core aspects of the business are required to establish credibility with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.General knowledge of and experience working in a GMP environment.
Awareness of CFRs as they apply to the pharmaceutical industry.Experience of collaboration and achieving results across levels, functions, business units, companies, and geographies in a matrixed environment is an advantage.Excellent communication, influencing, collaboration, and technical writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity, with strong problem-solving skills.Travel - domestic and international – expected to be in the region of 25%.Remote work position based in Waltham, MA.J-18808-Ljbffr
