We are a Small Privately Owned and Licensed Group Home in Murfreesboro, TN, looking for an assistant!
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Childcare Provider will be responsible for fostering growth through play, education, and care.

Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Constant Interaction with children on a daily basis (sitting on the floor or ground outside)
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
- Diaper Changing
- Contribute to children's learning and development by educating children on basic skills such as sharing, cooperation, and communication.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Leading by example
- Singing
- Support and assist lead staff
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
- Abiding by DHS rules and Regulations
- Following all Agency Policies and Procedures
- Follow specific instructions and directions from the Director on how we want things done.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance to encourage positive interactions.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain health standards in accordance with regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must have a H.S. Diploma if 18
- Must be able to relate well to children
- Must be willing to fulfill the responsibilities of the job in accordance with our program philosophy
- Must comply with DHS Rules & Expectations
- Must pass Background Check
- Must be able to provide References and a Medical Release
- No Cell Phone Facility
- BE DEPENDABLE
Skills
- Experience in childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with toddler care practices and infant care techniques.
- Experience working in a preschool or classroom environment is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid and CPR a plus.
- CDA, Associates or BA in ECE a PLUS.

8am-2pm Assist: Meals, Diapering, Play
1pm-7pm Closer
Expected hours: 20-30 per week
