Murgado Automotive Group's Illinois region is seeking a dynamic and experienced Creative & Social Media Manager. Reporting to the Marketing Manager overseeing our Illinois region, this pivotal role drives the creative vision and social media strategy for all Murgado dealerships throughout Illinois. This includes providing dedicated creative support and brand development for the large, six-brand Motor Werks campus in Barrington, known for its unique market presence and processes, while also ensuring cohesive and effective marketing across the entire regional portfolio.

What You'll Do
As the Creative & Social Media Manager for the Illinois Region, you are instrumental in defining and executing the visual identity and brand voice for Murgado Automotive Group's dealerships across the state. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager overseeing our Illinois region, dealership leadership, marketing colleagues, HR, and external partners to ensure all creative output is cohesive, compliant, captivating, and aligned with regional goals. You will manage the creative workflow and social media strategy for numerous distinct brands and locations, demanding exceptional organization, creative flair, and strategic thinking.
Your Key Responsibilities
Regional Brand & Creative Execution:
Develop and execute compelling creative assets supporting regional marketing initiatives and individual dealership needs across Illinois. This includes digital ads, social media graphics, email campaigns, direct mail, website visuals, event materials, internal communications, and more.Provide dedicated creative leadership and focus for the Motor Werks campus brand itself, developing specific assets reflecting its unique identity (signage, apparel, reflecting processes like "One & Only" where appropriate) while ensuring alignment with the broader regional strategy.Ensure unwavering brand consistency and integrity across all customer and employee-facing materials for all Illinois locations.Adapt and implement Murgado Automotive Group brand standards effectively across the region.
Regional Social Media Strategy & Execution
Develop, manage, and execute engaging organic content calendars for multiple dealership brands across Illinois on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.Develop, execute, and analyze paid social media campaigns (primarily Meta platforms) to support regional and dealership-specific objectives (brand awareness, engagement, lead generation).Monitor social media channels across the region, guiding responses and reporting on key performance metrics to the Marketing Manager overseeing our Illinois region.
Content Creation & Curation
Capture and edit photos and short-form videos optimized for social media and digital use, potentially traveling to various Illinois dealership locations as needed.Develop visually appealing templates and assets (infographics, etc.) for regional use.
Event Support
Collaborate with dealership teams to provide full marketing support for both onsite and offsite events hosted by Illinois stores.Develop digital and print assets for event promotion (flyers, invites, landing pages, signage, etc.).Provide on-location photography and videography support to capture content during events for both marketing and archival purposes.Ensure timely and engaging event coverage on social media platforms.
Compliance & Campaign Coordination
Stay meticulously up-to-date with, and ensure strict adherence to, all manufacturer (OEM) marketing guidelines across all brands and dealerships in the Illinois region; manage related approval processes.Collaborate on and monitor the performance of broader regional digital marketing campaigns, ensuring creative alignment and effectiveness.
Market Awareness & Reporting
Continuously research and report on industry best practices, competitor activities within Illinois, social media trends, and consumer behavior to inform regional strategies.Provide regular updates and performance reports to the Marketing Manager overseeing our Illinois region.
What You Bring To The Table
Experience: 3 years of proven experience in a digital marketing, creative design, or social media management role, ideally supporting multiple brands, locations, or clients. Agency or regional/multi-unit retail experience is highly desirable.
Creative Suite Mastery: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; Lightroom/Premiere Pro or After Effects a plus). (A portfolio showcasing relevant design and social media work is required).
Digital Marketing Acumen: Demonstrated experience developing, executing, and analyzing organic and paid social media campaigns (Meta Ads Manager essential). Understanding of broader digital marketing principles is beneficial.
Organizational Prowess: Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects across multiple locations simultaneously under deadlines.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to various brand voices and internal stakeholders. Ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively within a regional structure.
Visual Acumen: A sharp eye for detail, aesthetics, and high-quality visual design applicable across different brands.
