Muriel Siebert & Co ., Inc, a well-established Financial Services Company located in the heart of the World Financial Center in New York City, is seeking an established experienced individual to help lead a team focusing on our self-clearing efforts.
We are looking for a detail-oriented manager to join our exemplary staff. The Senior Operations Manager will be an individual who can problem solve, lead and manage a team, and take initiative when working with various vendors and business partners. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams. The candidate should be comfortable managing staff and vendors. He should also possess a thorough understanding of correspondence clearing, financial markets, regulatory requirements, risk management, and experience specific to the Broadridge clearing platform.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this position the candidate will possess the following skills and attributes :
- Qualifications : 5 years plus experience in a senior operations role in addition to Broadridge back-office platforms and policies
- Manage all Brokerage, Correspondent Clearing Operations for the firms self-clearing division & oversee and manage the firms self-clearing staff both locally here in the states in addition to any offshore consulting staff.
- Manage existing and future vendors related to our self-clearing efforts. This will include evaluating / reducing current vendor expenses and improving processes.
- Explore and implement a strategy that controls annualized operational expenses
- Knowledge of compliance securities regulations (FINRA, SEC, OCC) and Primary point of contact working with Compliance for internal and external regulators / auditors regarding any inquiries or exams
- Work with other members of the Senior Management Team on various initiatives for both our self-clearing business, in addition to our client facing offerings.
- Coordinate and implement testing for system upgrades and / or upgrades with new functionality, such as order flow.
- Serve as a liaison for self-clearing and the Broadridge back office when required
- Candidate should possess Supervisory licenses in addition to Series 7 / 63
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task.

- Monday to Friday
- Battery Park City, NY : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- 5 years minimum in a senior operations role (Preferred)
