We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, experienced Asphalt Milling Machine Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Discusses plans and goals for the day's work with field manager and determines best method of getting assigned work done safely, productively and on time.
• Performs physical duties that are commonly associated with the safe and productive operation of said piece of equipment.
• Performs equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and maintaining fluid levels on equipment.
• Operates equipment with priority of making the job safe for all persons working around the equipment.
• Communicates clearly with other crew members in a manner commensurate with teamwork in order to accomplish daily goals.
• Practice safety in your every move, estimating weights and distances, being fully aware of your surroundings, minimizing hazards, and reporting any injuries or damage immediately.
• Accurately interpret plans and surveyed lay-out.
• Store and clean machinery at its designated location and complete work reports at the end of each working day
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior Asphalt Milling experience on an asphalt crew preferred.
• Proficiency in the safety operation of Heavy Civil Equipment
• OSHA 10 construction Certification (Preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 64 pounds.
• The ability to stand, walk, reach, kneel, climb or balance.
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Pass Pre-Employment Drug & Background screenings
