We are currently looking for a Project Manager. The Project Manager directs and provides overall management and administration throughout all phases of construction and ensures projects are completed on time within budget. The Project Manager will determine and define project scope and ensure effective strategy is implemented throughout the project.
The responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for over-seeing paving projects from start to finish
- Observe, record and report daily activities (Microsoft lists)
- Communication liaison between the customer’s onsite point of contact and construction team
- Implement and provide plans scheduled to all vendors, subcontractors to ensure the project is completed efficiently
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors that can complete projects in compliance with the scope and technical guidelines
- Review works orders, proposals and contracts to ensure project scope is defined
- Record/Keep detailed records of project financials from the beginning to end ensuring budget is on track
- Review, create and execute punch list items
- Consult with engineers and inspectors to resolve unforeseen issues
- Responsible for the management of numerous projects in simultaneous phases
- Ensures work complies with city, state and technical guidelines (MPC, COI, Ect)
- Quality Control throughout the project
- Ability to comprehend, analyze and execute blueprints
- Request and review change orders when required
- Conduct daily and weekly meetings with associated Superintendents
- Inspecting and measuring completed work.
- Create and distribute progress reports as well as phase maps
- Host and organize post-project walkthroughs when requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Apply for MPC, COI, Ect
- Review and approve material invoices
- Assist Operations Resource Manager with month-end job cost reports
Additional Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures while performing the work
- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management
- Report any accidents/incidents to Superintendent, or Human Resources Manager
- Perform or assist with any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow and meet schedules
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- At least 3 years of construction management experience
- 4 years education in construction related field is a plus
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Project Management experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have exceptional management and organizational sills to ensure project scope is executed efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Advance understanding in civil construction including but not limited to site work, asphalt, paving, concrete, sealcoating and striping.
- Requires detail orientation and attention.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to maintain an open line of communication with Project Managers, engineers, Inspectors and all involved in the project in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must be able to communicate with vendors and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Must have extensive knowledge of local and federal ADA design guidelines and coded. Must be able to comprehend and analyze ADA regulations and execute that knowledge to create viable ADA solutions.
- Ability to lift and carry loads within limits set by the OSHA regulations.
- Ability to fully understand the paving process.
- Ability to use heavy equipment.
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends/holidays as needed to meet deadlines.
- Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet design and maintenance, navigating in databases, and creating presentations.
