Murphy Business Sales (MBB) is one of the largest and most successful franchise and business brokerage firms in North America specializing in privately held business sales, mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, appraisals of machinery and equipment, commercial real estate and business consulting, and more. We seek a dynamic Director of Brand and Marketing who is proficient in all areas of marketing, branding, and lead generation, with a strong emphasis on franchise development lead generation. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on execution to develop and grow our marketing efforts while laying the foundation for a scalable marketing team.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record in lead generation, content marketing, digital marketing, brand management, and team development. They must be able to execute campaigns, analyze results, and continuously optimize marketing strategies to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and branding strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive lead generation efforts for both general business growth and potential franchise development.
- Manage and execute digital marketing efforts, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
- Oversee and execute creation of marketing materials, website updates, landing pages, sales collateral, and branding assets.
- Develop and maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels.
- Implement marketing automation and CRM strategies to nurture leads and improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish marketing KPIs and track campaign performance with data-driven insights.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of trends and industry best practices.
- Identify, hire, and manage potential marketing team members and external vendors as the department scales.
- Support business development initiatives, sales teams, and franchise growth strategies through marketing efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of experience in marketing, branding, and lead generation, preferably in a business-to-business (B2B) or franchise development setting.
- Strong digital marketing expertise including SEO, paid ads, social media, and marketing automation.
- Proven ability to drive lead generation and conversion strategies.
- Experience with branding and brand development for growing businesses.
- Familiarity with CRM systems including HubSpot, analytics tools, and email marketing platforms.
- Excellent copywriting, communication, and content creation skills.
- Ability to work hands-on while developing long-term marketing strategies.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong leadership ability to build and manage a marketing team.
- This opportunity is hybrid, as such, you must live in the Clearwater, Florida area.
