POSITION SUMMARY
Performs heavy-duty body repair under general supervision, receiving on the job training in a development program to achieve Body Journeyman status.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY
1. Performs and/or assists in the performance of general bodywork duties.
2. Works on major components with close supervision.
3. Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
4. Attends training sessions and meetings.
5. Maintains a neat and orderly working area and properly handles company tools.
6. Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
RELATIONSHIPS
The Bodymen reports directly to the Foreman.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. CDL preferred.
2. Minimum of three years’ hand-on experience and on the job training in a related body shop field.
3. Graduate of vocational course or experience and training equivalent.
4. Must have a positive can-do attitude.
5. Must have a commitment to perform quality repairs.
6. Must have necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Standing over 50% of time while working on or painting equipment and completing repair
paperwork.
2. Lifting batteries, impact gun, jacks, buckets with fluids, spools with wire, supports for the rack and
frame, paneling, toolboxes, hoods, various tools, steering boxes, clutches, brake drums, etc., up
to 125 pounds.
3. Lift and carry various tools, boxes with products, bars with frame and rack set-up, buckets with
various product, spools of wire, panels, bumpers, seats, etc., up to 85 pounds.
4. Push/pull cranes, tool chests, ladders, trash bins, jacks, fans, fabric, vacuums, oil pans, pallets,
vices (tightening and loosening), carts, and dollies up to 85 pounds.
5. Griping up to 80 pounds while holding onto impact guns, parts, tools, and grasping and holding
handles.
6. Kneel, squat, and stoop 1/3 of the time to reach various places on equipment, to get underneath
equipment, to obtain parts, work on equipment, and lift and move items.
7. Climb up and down stairs and ladders 1/3 of the time to reach the various heights on the
equipment, to obtain parts, and climb onto and off of trucks and forklifts.
8. Reach below knees, to shoulder, and above shoulder to obtain parts and tools, to paint, and to
work on equipment.
