  • Provide for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents
  • Observe, record, report, treat symptoms and reaction of residents
  • Follow rehabilitation plan
  • Monitor compliance with implemented resident assessment and comprehensive plan of care regularly.
  • Interpret facility's policies and programs to staff
  • Assist Director of Nursing as needed
  • Evaluate, plan and organize nursing care according to established facility policies and procedures.
  • Follow the Standard work form and collaborate with teams on the assigned unit.
  • Consult and participate with director of nursing on admissions, room assignments and discharge plans of residents
  • Assure physician's orders are implemented
  • supervise nursing activities and promote improvement in nursing care
  • Monitor completion of laboratory testing as ordered by physician.
  • Monitor responsible party notification of changes in conditions, changes in treatment regimen, diagnostic testing results, etc.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for improvements for welfare of residents.
  • Ensure supplies are available in proper quantities, equipment is available and in proper condition and personnel using such supplies and equipment know location and proper care of equipment
  • Give daily report on conditions in nursing service to director of nursing
  • responsible for monitoring accurate recording of medications and narcotics according to established facility policy and procedure.
  • Participate in nursing care as needed; responsible for direct handling of emergency situations.
  • Assist with plans of care.
  • Assist residents and/or families with issues involving nursing care or services.

Qualifications:

  • Required-Credentialed in NC with unencumbered NC License/Certification
  • Preferred- Two years experience in a Long Term Care environment
  • Direct experience with Electronic Medical Record software - PCC a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and all levels of the organization
  • ability to organize and prioritize
  • Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented
  • ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team member
  • Working knowledge of Computers, Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office
  • Valid NC drivers license and reliable transportation

Compensation will determine upon years of experience.
