Location: Various job sites across Pennsylvania
Pay: $68/hr (Prevailing Wage) | $30/hr (Shop Rate)

We are hiring an experienced Main Line Operator with a proven background in digging and installing deep water and sewer mains. This is a high-paying, skilled position working on critical infrastructure and government-contracted projects. Only candidates with verifiable experience will be considered.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate heavy equipment (excavator, backhoe, etc.) to dig trenches 20 feet deep for water and sewer main installation
• Safely and efficiently set and install trench boxes and work inside active trench boxes during deep digs
• Collaborate with pipe crews to ensure precise alignment and placement of large-diameter pipe
• Spot utilities, maintain a clean dig area, and communicate hazards in real time
• Read and interpret blueprints, slope requirements, and grade stakes
• Perform safety checks and maintain clean, operational machinery

Requirements:

• Must have experience installing water and sewer mains on large-scale jobs
• Must have experience digging trenches 20 feet deep
• Must be proficient in trench box installation and safe digging within trench boxes
• Must be safety-conscious, follow OSHA standards, and committed to maintaining a safe job site
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a professional crew
• No smoking allowed on job sites, in company vehicles, or on equipment—strictly enforced
• No cell phone use permitted on-site due to government contract restrictions
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening (medical marijuana cards not accepted)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

• $68/hour on Prevailing Wage jobs
• $30/hour shop rate when not on-site
