We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Laborer with Pipefitting Experience to join our team to work on base at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. This position is ideal for professionals with at least two years of pipefitting experience who are looking for steady work, excellent pay, and long-term career growth.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pipefitting and underground utility work.
• Strong safety mindset—adherence to strict safety protocols is mandatory.
• Absolutely no smoking on the job site or around equipment due to government regulations.
• Ability to fit and install pipe properly, including measuring, cutting, and aligning.
• Experience in spotting live utilities for heavy equipment operators.
• Must be comfortable working at a minimum depth of 20 feet in trenches and confined spaces.
• Familiarity with storm and sewer piping, including PVC pipe up to 12 inches.
• Strong work ethic, ability to take direction, and willingness to ask questions to ensure tasks are completed correctly.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must pass a federal background check and drug screening (Medical marijuana cards are not accepted).
• No felonies; some misdemeanors may disqualify applicants.

Job Responsibilities

• Fitting and installing PVC storm/sewer pipes up to 12 inches in diameter.
• Spotting for equipment operators to safely locate and avoid underground utilities.
• Hand digging when necessary to ensure proper pipe installation and site safety.
• Following job site safety protocols and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
• Measuring and cutting pipe precisely to ensure accurate installation.
• Maintaining clear communication with the crew, foreman, and operators to ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhering to all federal, state, and company safety regulations at all times.
