The Vice President of Sales at Murphy's Naturals will lead the sales organization in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring the success of our brand across retail, e-commerce, and distribution channels. This is a critical role for an entrepreneurial, performance-oriented sales leader with deep experience in the consumer products industry, a passion for natural products, and a commitment to Murphy's Naturals' values and mission. The VP of Sales will lead strategic planning, establish key account relationships, and drive team performance to achieve aggressive growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to increase revenue, optimize market reach, and grow the Murphy's brand presence across all channels
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, establishing a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, online marketplaces, third-party sales reps, and distributors to enhance sales performance and brand loyalty.
- Oversee omni-channel strategy, balancing wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels to maximize reach and profitability.
- Develop, manage, and refine sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities and adapt sales strategies.
- Partner with Marketing, Innovation, and Operations teams to align product offerings, support marketing initiatives, and ensure inventory alignment with sales demand.
- Define and track KPIs, providing regular reports and actionable insights to executive leadership to drive data-informed decision-making.
- 10 years of relevant experience, ideally including driving sales growth at an emerging consumer brand.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce, and consumer behavior.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, with a deep understanding of the B Corporation ethos
- International and/or seasonal outdoor product sales a plus
