Role Description
This is a full-time (on-site) role for a Litigation Associate at Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP (MSW). The Litigation Associate will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery demands and responses, order to show causes, and motions. The Litigation Associate will handle lower level appearances (case management conferences, compliance conferences, discovery motions, site inspections) and assist the Construction and Litigation teams with depositions, mediations and dispositive motions.
Qualifications
- 1-5 years of litigation experience
- Experience with drafting motions
- Familiarity with deposition procedures
- Ability to navigate the court system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience servicing the commercial real estate and construction industries is a plus
- Admitted to practice law in NJ and NY (PA and / or CT is a plus)
