Plow Operator

Currently seeking an experienced Plow Operator to operate a Ditch Witch RT125 main line plow for fiber optic/Telecom utility installation.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced plow operator to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible for operating and maintaining all plowing equipment to ensure accurate and efficient installation of utility lines.

Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain Plow equipment, including but not limited to, Mainline (Ditch Witch RT125) -Mid-Size (410) -Drop plows, Larson Trailer, fiber blower, Air Compressor - Conduct pre-operational checks on Plowing equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues. - Review and interpret plans, blueprints, and maps to determine the layout and route of underground utility lines. - Set up plowing sites and prepare the required equipment for operation. - Operate Plow equipment to create the necessary bore path for utility line installation, ensuring accuracy and precision. - Monitor Plow activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. - Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise during drilling operations. - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Plow equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity. - Keep accurate records of Plow operations, including site conditions, Plow progress, and any equipment maintenance or repairs conducted. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that project requirements are met effectively and efficiently. - Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements: - At least one year of previous experience operating HDD Plowing equipment is essential. - Strong knowledge of Mainline Plowing techniques, equipment, and safety procedures. - Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, blueprints, and maps. - Familiarity with utility line installation and understanding of utility construction practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues effectively. - Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. - Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused during repetitive tasks. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Valid driver's license and clean driving record. CDL (Class A) is preferred.

Compensation:

$26 - $32 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
