The hematology lab coordinator is accessible to testing personnel at all times testing is performed to provide on-site, telephone, or electronic support. Provides day to day supervision of personnel performing high complexity testing in Hematology and Coagulation. Monitors test analyses and specimen examination to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained. Resolves technical problems and ensures corrective actions are taken. Provides orientation to all testing personnel.
Minimum Education
A Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or an affiliated field with a certification as a medical technologist by American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience
Two to three years work experience is required. Supervisory abilities must be exhibited
Required Licenses
Registered with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent
