Provides day to day oversight of the Point of Care Testing (POCT) program at MCCH and all MCCH clinics and reports to the Lab Director. Provides advanced practical and theoretical skills as required to oversee and guide all aspects of POCT. Serves as a consultant / trainer to clinical areas performing POCT. Demonstrates and understands lab processes and monitors through quality measures. Ensures programs are consistent with regulatory and accreditation agency requirements.
Minimum Education
A Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or an affiliated field with a certification as a medical technologist by American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience
Two to three years work experience is required. Supervisory abilities must be exhibited
Required Licenses
Registered with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent
