Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including lathe operations.
- Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks and CATIA to create detailed drawings and models for programming.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
- Conduct regular inspections using bore gauges and other measuring tools to ensure precision and accuracy of machined parts.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process, making necessary adjustments to programs or setups.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs for manufacturability.
- Maintain documentation of programming changes, setups, and inspection results.
Skills
- Proficient in CNC programming languages, particularly Fanuc.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks and CATIA for design purposes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Experience with bore gauges and other precision measuring instruments is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
