Job Summary
The Intake Representative plays a crucial role in the initial assessment and processing of client inquiries within a legal environment. This position requires strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, as the representative will be responsible for reviewing documents and gathering pertinent information to facilitate the legal process. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with various areas of law, including personal injury, estate planning, probate, corporate law, employment law, traffic violations, and a general knowledge of the law.
Duties
- Conduct initial client interviews to gather relevant information and assess case viability.
- Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and relevance.
- Maintain organized records of client interactions and case documentation.
- Collaborate with attorneys to determine the appropriate course of action for each case.
- Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents and contracts as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to various practice areas.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Experience or knowledge in personal injury law, estate planning, probate, corporate law, employment law, traffic violations, and a general knowledge of the law is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on client interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A background in litigation or contract management is a plus but not required.
- Previous profession Services sales a plus.
